DMD Diamond, one of the first blockchain projects with a history dating back to 2013, recently launched its V4 mainnet, based on the unique Honey Badger BFT (HBBFT) consensus.
In their announcement, the developers emphasize that while ZK rollups and private protocols are the future of scalability, they require a reliable, decentralized, and low-cost base layer (Layer 1), which is precisely what DMD is.

- Speed ââand Finality:
- DMD V4 offers instant finality. Once a transaction is in a block, it is irreversible.
- ZK Rollups, running on Ethereum, for example, often rely on the finality of the underlying network, which can take minutes.

Rather than competing, DMD Diamond positions itself as the optimal platform for deploying ZK dApps, offering solutions to the key challenges facing the ZK sector:
